Information about our Colonial Kids Summer Programs

Historic London Town and Gardens is a twenty-three acre park located on the South River in Edgewater, Maryland. The park is owned by Anne Arundel County and managed by the London Town Foundation, a non-profit foundation. London Town has within its boundaries part of the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century town of London, which is currently being excavated by archaeologists from the Lost Towns Project.




London Town also features the William Brown House, a National Historic Landmark house museum; an eight-acre woodland garden; the Richard Hill Garden of native and imported medicinal plants; and a multi-purpose pavilion, which is rented for weddings, corporate and business meetings, and other special events. The pavilion is also used for lectures and cultural events.

Tour Hours:
Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. -3 p.m., Sunday 12 noon - 3 p.m.
House tours are on the hour beginning at 10 a.m. during the week and 12 noon on Sunday.
The last tour begins at 3 p.m.
Gates close at 4:30 p.m. daily. NO DOGS, please. Free parking.

Directions:
Take US 50/MD 301 to Route 665 (Exit 22 Aris T. Allen Blvd.), exit onto Route 2 South (Solomon's Island Road), go over South River Bridge. Continue about 0.6 miles (3 traffic lights); turn left at the 3rd traffic light onto Mayo Road. Go about 0.8 miles (2 traffic lights) and turn left at the second traffic light onto Londontown Road. Go about 1.0 mile to end of road. Stay to the left side and enter site through the gates.
