Fall 2011 Plant Sale
Plant Sale at Historic LondonTown and Gardens

Fall is for planting! Visit Historic London Town and Gardens on Saturday, September 24, from 8:00 a.m. to Noonfor the annual fall plant sale. Rare and hard-to-find shrubs and trees will be available, as well as excellent companion plants. An array of woodland species, both native and exotic, that thrive in our local environment, will be featured. A special highlight will be a selection of Dr. William Ackerman’s camellias, and other cold hardy camellia cultivars. Magnolias and bare-root peonies, premier cultivars that create a gorgeous display in any spring garden, can also be purchased.

London Town will once again partner with Melwood in offering seasonal plants. Anne Arundel County Master Gardeners will be on hand, along with London Town’s Director of Horticulture, Nathan Powers, to offer help and advice on plant selection and cultivation.   A list of all plant offerings will be posted on London Town’s website prior to the sale.

Historic London Town and Gardens is known for its eight acres of beautiful woodland and ornamental gardens, which showcase unusual native and exotic plant species.
