Though Historic London Town and Gardens has only 24 out of the original 100 acres that made up the colonial town of London, the Historic Area is where visitors can learn about London Town’s history through a variety of hands-on experiences. Visitors can tour the original c1760 William Brown House, enter the reconstructed c1710 Lord Mayor’s Tenement, wander through the historically-themed kitchen, African-American, and Dr. Richard Hill gardens, watch colonial carpentry at the pit saw frame and Carpenter Shop, and learn about archaeology at the Rumney-West site.
The navigation options below allow you to explore the different offerings within our historic area more thoroughly.
