Signature Items

These reproductions are based on ceramic artifacts found at the Rumney/West site in London Town. This remarkable assemblage of delftware ceramics was discovered in the cellar of the building, built circa 1709 on Scott Street. Archaeological excavations revealed an earth-lined cellar filled with broken wine bottles and glasses, ceramics and remains of food discarded circa 1724. The collection includes high-status decorated tin-glazed earthenware (or delft) plates, bowls and cups, made around 1720 at the Vauxhall potteries in London, England.
